Dawn’s aim was simply to be the best in the field and Melbec has achieved that. Dawn’s ethos of always doing the best for the customer has translated through the company, creating a workforce dedicated to exceptional customer service and competitive prices.
Since the creation of Melbec, the business has grown year on year, and in 2018 Dawn’s husband, Nigel, gave up his role as a Professor of Physics, working in high level enterprise to join the business and becoming the MD.
At Melbec, we hold accreditation to UKAS for multiple standards to cover both cosmetic testing and biocidal testing. We are even the first lab in the country to hold ‘vegan accredited testing’ for both batch release and challenge testing in the cosmetic field. We have always strived towards innovation and problem solving and will carry on doing this to suit customer’s needs.
Being is a purpose-built facility with over 6 labs onsite is something we are very proud of and have worked hard to achieve. We commissioned a special video so all our customers who cannot come and see us can get a good idea of what we do and have a look at Melbec’s headquarters. Of course, customers are always welcome on site, and we love giving guided tours.
