Label Reviews

What is a label review?

A label review is a detailed assessment of cosmetic product labels to ensure they meet the regulatory requirements set by the EU and UK. At Melbec, we thoroughly examine your product label to verify its compliance with current legislation. Our comprehensive reports clearly highlight which elements are compliant and identify areas that require updates or improvements.

Why is this so important?

Cosmetic products sold in the EU and UK must adhere to strict labelling regulations. Our label review service helps ensure your product meets these standards, reducing the risk of regulatory issues. We provide clear, actionable guidance to help you make necessary adjustments and maintain compliance.

What about Claim Reviews?

In addition to label reviews, Melbec offers claim review services. Many cosmetic products feature claims such as “Dermatologically tested” or “Kind to skin.” These statements must be supported by appropriate evidence. We assess the validity of your product claims, review supporting data, and advise on any additional steps needed to substantiate them.

How long does it take?

Our standard turnaround time is up to 10 working days from the receipt of your label and any supporting documentation.
