We have been out visiting clients over the past year, something that we have really missed doing during the lockdowns and restrictions, and we have loved getting to see our clients, both new and old in person! Technical Knowledge
Within our team here at Melbec Microbiology, we have varied and extensive knowledge of the microbiology industry. With an emphasis on cosmetics and personal care products as well as biocidal and viricidal testing, the team holds a wealth of industry expertise within the microbiological testing arena.

Both our Technical Director, Dawn, and our Technical Manager, Liam, come from a cosmetic and personal care manufacturing background, meaning that they understand where contamination might be coming from as well as help with other issues our clients may be experiencing with their manufacturing lines.

Going the extra mile
There are so many ways in which we have been told we go the extra mile (we might have to start calling it the Melbec Mile!), but most importantly, we make sure that we listen to our clients. By listening to what our clients need, a few things we have been able to implement are;
- A 3-day, UKAS accredited QC testing service (that’s 2 whole days quicker than the industry standard 5 days).
- Vegan alternative QC and Challenge tests that are Vegan Society Certified and UKAS accredited.
- A new set of testing focused on looking at how personal care and cosmetics products affect the skin microbiome.
